Transciption:	JAMES SHERGOLD PLENTY DIED, the 1^st inst, Mr James Plenty, ironfounder, Newbury, aged year 42 years Reading Mercury - Saturday 11^th October 1851 He was born 1809(?), son of William and Mary Ann Shergold (second marriage), an older brother of EDWARD PELLOW PLENTY the first, who became Newbury Mayor in 1865 In NRC we have E P PLENTY 3rd and 4^th, (grandson and great grandson)
