Transciption: | LAWRENCE CLEEVES R.A.O.B. FUNERAL Mr Lawrence Cleeves, of 16 Berkeley road, who died on Sunday at the age of 69, was interred in the grave in which his wife was buried 29 years ago. He had been a member of the Order for over 30 years, formerly of the White Hart Lodge, and since the war, of the Winchcombe Lodge. Canon A H C Fargus, a member of the Colthrop Lodge, officiated; various local lodges were represented, and the Buffalo service was used, members, who wore their regalia, dropping sprigs of ivy onto the coffin. The mourners were: Mr Walter Cleeves (brother), Miss Ceeves (sister), Messrs. W E C Cleeves, R L Cleeves, A L Cleeves and H S Cleeves sons), Messrs W Cleeves, G Cleeves, H T Towns (nephews), Messsrs. W N Fennemore, H J Boulter (sons-in-law), Mrs W E Cleeves, Mrs R L Cleeves Mrs H S Cleeves (daughters-in-law), Mrs M WLKER (neighbour). Wreaths were sent by Sister Kit and Gladys, all I Australia; Bob, Maud and Joey; Cyril and John; Ede abd Kit (grandchildren); Brother and family; Ede, Will and Eric; Norman and John; Arthur and Em; Harry, Cyril and John (sons); Sid, Rose and little Johnny; Lily and George; Brethren, Newbury and District R.A.O.B ; Brethren of Winchcombe Lodge; Brethren of Charles I Lodge (Lambourn); Mr W G Parker; Mr and Mrs Tucker; neighbours and friends at Berkeley road; Mr and Mrs C Taylor; Majorie and Tom; Mr and Mrs Mayhew; Mr and Mrs Timms; Will and Lil; P and L Green; Mrs walker, Flo and Mont. Mr T H Cullum carried out the funeral arrangements. |
