Unnamed Percy (1901 – 1901)
According to the Newtown Road accounts a still born child of Mrs Percy was buried at the Cemetery on 27 February 1901.
In the 1901 census taken just one month after the burial there was only one Mrs Percy recorded living in Newbury. She was Harriet Mary Percy who was married to George Peover Percy and had been born in 1833 in Newbury so she was not the mother.
There was no announcement in the local papers, including the Newbury Weekly News, regarding the birth or burial of the child.
Unfortunately stillborn births were not recorded in the General Register Office index in 1901 so there are no official records of the birth and or death of the child.
