Frederick Palfreman Curr
1892-1892
Frederick Pulmfreman, was baptised on the 3rd April 1892, at St Nicolas Church Newbury, the son of Frederick Alfred (a Blacksmith) and Emma Curr (nee Cook(e)) who were married on the 15th June 1890, at St Nicolas Church Newbury.
Frederick Palfreman died aged 5 months, he was laid to rest in the Newtown Road Cemetery on the 22nd June 1892.
Frederick’s family:
His father Frederick Alfred was born in 1860 in Plymouth Devon, the son of Thomas and Maria Ann Curr (nee Edwards) who were married on the 31st March 1849, at St Mary, Islington, Middlesex
His mother Emma was born 1863 in Swallowfield, Berkshire, the daughter of Charles and Lucy Elizabeth Cooke (nee Stevens) who were married in 1856 (marriage registers in Wokingham)
The 1891 census records Frederick (30) as a Blacksmith and Guildhall Club Caretaker living at 134 Bartholomew Street, Newbury, with Emma (28) and Emma’s brother Daniel Cook (16).
By 1896 Frederick and Emma were living in Montreal Canada. The Newbury Weekly News dated 28th May 1896, records the birth of a son for this couple.
