Raymond John Tucker
1928-1934
Raymond John and his twin sister were born in Newbury, Berkshire, the children of Harry and Agnes Mary Tucker (nee Tillin) who were married in 1920, in Reading, Berkshire.
Raymond died aged 5 years and 7 months, on the 19th April 1934, he was laid to rest in the Newtown Road Cemetery on the 23rd April.
Raymond’s family:
His father Harry was born on the 1st July 1894, in Newbury, the son of Albert and Elizabeth Tucker (nee Plumb) who were married on the 29th December 1885 at St John the Evangelist, Newbury.
Harry’s mother Agnes was born on the 27th December 1895, in Reading, Berkshire, the daughter of William Thompson and Agnes Mary Tillin (nee Freed) who were married in 1890, in Reading.
Raymond also had two older sisters born in 1920 and 1923 and a younger brother born in 1931.
In 1921 Raymond’s father Harry (26) was working as an Engine Turner, at Plenty & Son, in King’s Road, Newbury. The family were living at 66 Gloucester Road, Newbury.
In 1934 the family were living at 4 Edward’s Cottages, St John’s Road Newbury.
By 1939 The family were living at 10 St George’s Ave, Newbury. Harry was working as a Butcher’s Assistant.
The 1858 Electoral Register records them living at 5, Hutton Close, Shaw Road, Newbury.
Agnes Mary died aged 82 (death registered in the December quarter 1977, in Newbury)
Harry died aged 86 (death registered in the March quarter 1981, in Reading/Wokingham)
