THE LATE MRS. BARRON FIELDER Death has removed another member of an old Newbury family, in the person of Mrs. Fielder, of Craven Road*. She was a Miss Rooke, and widow of the late Mr. Barron Fielder, a well-known townsman and junior member of the firm of Messrs. T.W. And B. Fielder, grocers, of Nothbrook-street. Mr. Barron Fielder had for some years a seat on the Corporation, and was a prominent Freemason. He died on the 14th of February, 1882, at the age of 48. The funeral of the deceased lady took place on Friday afternoon, the first part of the service being conducted at the Parish Church by the Rev.A.F. Bliss, the interment being in the family vault at Newbury Cemetery. The mourners were Miss Fielder, Miss E. Fielder, Mrs. Stevenson, Nurse Roche, Miss Wise, and Miss Bradfield. Among friends present were Mr. W.C. Fremantle, Miss Count, Miss Adey, Miss fiance, Mrs. 3. Parker, Mr. F.C. Fidler, Misses Smith, Miss Boyer, and others.
Funeral tributes were sent by "Her loving children," Mrs and Miss M.F. May (Marlborough), Mrs. F.C. Fidler, Miss E. and J.Smith, Mr. and Mrs. J. Adey and family, Mr. R. and the Misses Adey, Mrs. and Miss Boyer, Mr. Coldicutt and family, Miss Count, Mrs. F. Davis and family, Miss Fryer, Miss Roche.
The coffin was of unpolished oak, mounted with brass furniture, the plate being inscribed:

Died September 9, 1915
Aged 81.
