SYBIL ETHEL ROBERTS

NURSE’S DEATH – The death took place on Monday, at the Hospital, of Nurse Roberts, under sad circumstances. She had only been on the staff about two months, and serious illness developed three weeks ago. An attack of haemorrhage proved fatal. She was nineteen, and had proved very popular among the patients. The funeral took place yesterday (Wednesday) afternoon, at Newbury Cemetery, the Rev. A. G. P. Baines officiating. The mother and other relatives, with all the nursing staff who could be spared from duty, together also with other nurses in the district were present.
