ARTHUR GEORGE HEDGES

 

Funeral of Arthur G. Hedge

 

The funeral of Arthur George Hedge, who was 14 years of age and the only child of Mr. and Mrs. G.H.M. Hedge, of 67. Boundary-road, Newbury, took place on Tuesday at the Cemetery, Newtown-road, the Rev. A.H. Fowler,M.A., taking the service.

The mourners were Mr. and Mrs. G.H.M. Hedge, (father and mother), Mr. A. M. Hedge (grandfather), Mr. A. Barnes of Bournemouth (uncle),Mrs. L. Harrison, Yorkshire (uncle), Mrs. Hedge (step-grandmother), Mr. and Mrs. C. Howlett, Mrs. Bacon (cousins), Mr. A. Dumelow.

 

Among those present at the graveside were Mr. Arnold Penn and Mr. Eric Roberts (Young Men's Class), Mr. W. Midwinter and Miss Bessie Salway (superintendents, Congregational Sunday School), Miss Jane Midwinter, Miss Emily Midwinter, Mrs. Smith, Mr. A. Attewell, Mr. and Mrs. A. Lewis, Mr. and Mrs. Wetherall, Mrs. Giles, Miss Underwood, Mrs. Flitter, Mrs.Liddiard.

 

Wreaths were sent by Mother and Father; Grandfather and Aunt Carrie (Winnersh); Grandmother; Aunt Mildred (Chichester|); Uncle Archie and Aunt Annie (Bournemouth); Aunt Geraldine and Uncle Levi (Sowerby, Yorks)., Great Aunt Laura and Uncle Alf (Leyton); Congregational Young Men's Bible Class; the Staff and Scholars of Newbury Council School; Mr. and Mrs. T.H. Cullum; Mr. and Mrs. H.J. Marshall (Highclere); Mr. and Mrs. A.G. Beale, (Hanwell); Miss J. Midwinter and Mrs. Smith; Charlie and Carrie; Mrs.E.A. Bacon (Reading); Miss Davis; the Misses Hieatt; Mrs. Franklin; Mr. and Mrs. T. Bowden and Don; Mrs. Green, May and Elsie; Mrs. Parkins and family; Mrs. Bartholomew (Junction Terrace); Mrs. John Bell; Mr. and Mrs. T. Green (Bartholomew-street); Mr. and Mrs. Easton; four old pals, Walter Liddiard, Cyril Flitter, Norman Gore; Sydney Booker; Teddie Smith, Joey Radbourne; Mr. and Mrs. Underwood.
