WILLIAM HENRY ROBESON
The death occurred on the 11th inst. at Parkstone, Dorset, of Mr. W.H. Robeson. The deceased was a native of Newbury, being the son of a well-known tailor, who carried out a business in Bartholomew-street for many years. The deceased also followed the business of tailor, and lived at Hungerford for a number of years, subsequently returning to Newbury, living in retirement in the Craven-road. About two or three years ago he left for Parkstone to be near his son, another son having emigrated some years previously to America. Deceased had been in failing health since Christmas, but the illness assumed a serious form only about a fortnight prior to death. The body was removed to Newbury for interment in the Cemetery. Messrs. Penford and Son having charge of the arrangements, the officiating minister being Rev. J. Neville.
The mourners were Mr. G. Robeson (son), Mrs. Johnson (daughter) and Mr. Robeson (grandson). The widow was too ill to attend. Floral offerings from members of the family and the the friends were placed upon the coffin, which bore the inscription: WILLIAM HENRY ROBESON Died June 14, 1901, Aged 78
