The mourners were Edwin and Joseph (sons), Charlotte, Edie, Adelaide and Winifred (daughters), Mrs Herbert Smith (whose husband died of wounds in France, last September) and Mrs Joseph Smith (daughters in law), Mrs Thomas Sillar (sister), and several old friends were at the graveside. The Berks County Police were represented by Sergeants Pounds, Hutson, Wells, Pinchin and PCs Mortimer and Portlock.

Floral tributes were sent tributes were sent from Dot, Nell and Alf, Daughter-in-law Lizzie and children, Edwin and Mabel, Edie and Tom, Adelaide and Lionel, Joe and Louie, Win and Frank and grandson. Mrs W. Hill, Mrs Tottle and Mrs Crawshaw.
