THE LATE SERGEANT CAVE The funeral of the late Mr. Cave, for many years drill-sergeant to the Newbury Volunteers, took place on Saturday in Newbury Cemetery. The service was taken by the Rev. Marsh Kirkby, and the mourners included relatives and old friends. The late sergeant will be remembered with affection and esteem by many of those who were members of the Newbury Volunteer Company during the most flourishing period of its history. Sergeant Cave brought the Company to a high standard of efficiency, from which it has never departed. Col.-Sergt. Lucas was present to represent the old comrades of the deceased at the funeral.
