THE LATE MRS. CLARA LEWIS
The funeral of the late Mrs. Lewis, widow of Mr. John Lewis, Mayor of the borough in 1841-2, took place on Tuesday in the Cemetery, the Rev. John Pate officiating.

The mourners were Mr. T.W. Fielder, Mr. A. Fielder, Mr. G. Fielder, Mr. D. Stewart, Miss Child, Mr. T.H. Child, Mr. R. Child, Mr. T. Child, Mr. J. Child, and Dr. J. Child, niece and nephews of the deceased.

A few friends were also present, including Mr. Midwinter, Mr. Councillor Midwinter, Mr. Brewer etc.

The deceased lady was eighty two years of age, and had been in failing health for some time.
