Fanny Mayo

1858-1895

 

Fanny Holder was born in 1858 in Newbury and was the daughter of John and Elizabeth Holder (nee Dopson) who were married in 1848 in Hungerford.

John & Elizabeth also had the following children:

Joseph born 1850 in Hungerford

Martha Elizabeth born 1852 in Hungerford

John Charles born 1854 in Hungerford (later known as Charles)

John born 1860 in Newbury

Henry born 1863 in Newbury

Louisa born 1869 in Newbury

In 1871 Fanny was recorded living with her parents and siblings in Newbury and her father John was working as a Postman.

In 1881 Fanny was recorded as a General Servant and was living at Northbrook Place Newbury with her parents and siblings.

Fanny married John Maurice/Morris Mayo in Newbury in 1881 and they had a daughter, Ellen Louise who was born in 1885.

In 1891 Fanny, John and Ellen were living in the parish of St Nicolas Newbury and John was working as a Painter.

Fanny died in 1895 in Newbury and was buried on the 19th January 1895 at Newtown Road Cemetery.

John Maurice Mayo remarried in 1899 in the Camberwell area, his 2nd wife was Minnie Selina White.
