A FORESTER'S FUNERAL 
THE LATE MR. GEORGE CHIVERS

Several of his fellow Foresters attended the funeral of Mr. George Chivers, baker, of Pembroke-road, Newbury, which took place on Monday. The service at Newbury Parish Church was conducted by the rector, Canon W. L. Cooper the lesson being read by the Rey. J D. H. ones, curate. The family mourners were Mrs. Chivers (wife), Mr. and Mrs. J. Chivers (son and daughter-in-law), Mr. and Mrs. J. Blackford Mr. and Mrs. W. G. Harris, Mr. and Mrs. H. C. Pearce, and Mr. and Mrs. E. R. Canning (sons-in-law and daughters), Mrs. T. Joseph (sister), Mrs. Durnford, Mrs. Randall, Mrs. Nutley Miss Joyce Chivers, Miss Margaret Blackford, Miss Ena Chivers, Miss Daphne Pearce and Miss Frances Blackford (grandchildren). Others present were Mr. M. G. Robinson, Mr. J. Smith, Mr. A J. Fisher and Mr. F. C. Piper (representing Newbury Master Bakers' Association), Mrs. Beckley and Mrs. Parker (Newbury and District United Friendly Societies' Council), Mrs. Hallett and Miss Parker (Women's Lodge of Oddfellows), Councillor C. W. Burns, Mr. R. Soper, Mrs. Shave, Mrs. Hiscock, Mrs. Wingar, Mrs. Swanhorough, Mrs. E. Lipscomb, Mrs. Sarah Prout. The interment was in the Newtown-road Cemetery, where Mr. T.
