New Commonwealth War Grave erected

Thomas Maccabee's grave marked at last

This week saw the arrival of the new Portland stone memorial to Thomas Maccabee. At our remembrance event last year the family came from all over the country to lay flowers on the Maccabee grave. In 2015 there is a proper gravestone erected this week.

Hard work by Friend Phil Wood led to the recognition that there should be an official stone to mark Maccabee's death in Brighton Pavilion, being used as a hospital at the time. For more information about Thomas search this web-site
