Remembrance Day 2010

The Friends hold their first Remembrance Day Event

It's remembrance day and the Friends are holding an open day with tours to tell people about those killed during the two world wars that are buried in Newtown Road Cemetery.

We have 19 Commonwealth War Graves and over 50 memorials on family plots to soldiers, sailors and airmen buried elsewhere in the world.

Despite the torrential rain there was a good turnout of visitors and the Friends hope to make this an annual event.
