Keep Calm and Volunteer Day

The British Bulldog Spirit was alive and well at the Corn Exchange as we were ordered to Keep Calm and Volunteer

The good weather lowered the number of people visiting the Newbury Volunteer Fair that was held at the Newbury Corn Exchange last Sunday (2nd June, 2013) but that did not deter the fearless spirit of the volunteers that manned the stands at the event as they “Kept Calm and Volunteered” and encouraged others to do the same.

Uniforms were worn and everyone did their best to capture the wartime spirit that was the theme of the day. Pictures of our team can be seen below. We did not win the prize again; that medal (and the £100) went to CRUSE for their stand.

All in all, we had a very good day with a number of potential recruits to the ranks. Thanks to everyone who came along to see us and to those who stood guard over the stand throughout the day; you can all stand at ease until January next year when we will be back as James Bond 007™.
