New web search, New Maps

Additions to enhance the web site

A new Google powered search engine has been added to the site and you will see it at the top of the pages. This powerful search can look at all the burials, births and deaths, workhouse records and biographies available on the site.

The google engine sometimes takes a little while to get updated with new information, so we the old search process will shortly be made available elsewhere on the web site to perform look-ups directly from the database.

Maps

We have also digitised and pieced together the large maps owned by the town council to create a full-scale zoomable map that contains many of the burial on the various memorials. you can view the map on the cemetery map page.
