Dec. 1911 aged 51. 3rd tier: "Hold Thou Thy cross before my closing eyes/ Shine through the gloom and point me to the skies. / Heaven's morning breaks and Earth's vain shadows flee. / In life, in death, O Lord abide with me." Kerbstone South: John BELCHER/ died Sept. 21st. 1914 Wellington N.Z. Kerbstone North: William BELCHER/ killed in action Bullecourt, france April 5th. 1915.
