   Column: I H S / Open book: IELMO/ My dear Hubby/ Alfred GILES/ called to rest 27th. Sept. 1929/ aged 62./ "Abide with me."/ He was a man of honour, of Noble and generous nature.

   Open book detached from column and laid on grave, some letters unreadable
