Eliza Currell

1862-1862

 

Eliza was born in Newbury she was the daughter of Richard and Mary Ann Currell (nee Hill) who were married on the 9th October at Bishop Ryder Birmingham in 1853. Her father was born in Newbury c1817 and was a Shoemaker and her mother was born in Bristol Somerset c1823.

Eliza died aged 0 in 1862 she was laid to rest in the Newtown Road Cemetery on the 11th November.

In 1861 the family were living at Independent Chapel Yard Northbrook Street Newbury.

Her father died aged 52 in 1869 he was laid to rest in the Newtown Road Cemetery on the 19th May.

In 1871 her mother and siblings were living at 2 Chubb’s Yard Bartholomew Street and her mother was working as a Washerwoman.

The family emigrated in 1872 they were recorded in the 1881 Canadian census as Baptists living in London Middlesex Ontario Canada.
