Joseph Walker

c1785-1862

Joseph was born in Newbury and was a Woollen Weaver. He married Sarah Poole on the 22^nd September 1806 at St Mary Reading Berkshire.

Joseph & Sarah had the following children (all born in Newbury):

In 1815 the family were living at Jack of Newbury Yard (east side of Northbrook Street). In 1841 Joseph, Sarah and their youngest daughter Mary were living in Old Newtown Road Newbury. By 1851 Joseph and Sarah had been allocated a Robinson Alms house in Northcroft Lane Newbury.

Joseph died aged 79 in 1862 he was laid to rest in the Newtown Rad Cemetery on the 8^th July.

Sarah died aged 77 in 1864 she was laid to rest in the Newtown Road Cemetery on the 27^th July.
