Elizabeth Norris

c1812-1869

Elizabeth was born in Newbury she was the daughter of William & Sarah Norris (nee Hopgood) who married on the 7^th July 1801 in Andover Hampshire. William was a Glover (1801, 1841 and 1851) and Breeches Maker (1815).

Elizabeth’s siblings were:

George born 20/9/1807  

Mary born 31/1/1809

In 1815 the family were living in Cheap Street Newbury

The 1841 census records Elizabeth as a Female Servant in the household of Henry Godwin (a Solicitor) living in the parish of St Nicolas Newbury.

Elizabeth died aged 57 on the 10^th January 1869 she was laid to rest in the Newtown Road Cemetery on the 16^th January.
