Thomas William was born in Berkshire, the son of Thomas Hidden and Sarah Ann Partridge (nee Hardy) who were married on the 31st August 1878, in Hamstead Marshall, Berkshire.

Thomas William died aged 9 months, on the 14th January 1889, he was laid to rest in the Newtown Road Cemetery on the 19th January.

Thomas William’s family:

His father Thomas Hidden was born c1855, in Marsh Benham, Berkshire, the son of Stephen and Sarah Partridge (nee Hidden) who were married in 1854. (Marriage registered in Newbury)

His mother Sarah Ann was born in 1855, in Aldermaston, Berkshire, the daughter of Charles and Mary Ann Hardy (nee Lovegrove) who were married in 1855 (marriage registered in Newbury)

Thomas and Sarah Ann also had the following children:

The 1881 census records Thomas (26), as a Great Western Railway Signalman, living in Chapel Street, Thatcham, Berkshire, with Sarah (25) and their son Frederick Stephen (1) (recorded as Stephen F.)

By 1891 Thomas (36), a Painter, Sarah (35), Frederick (11), Sarah (8) and Francis (6 months), were living at 10 Winchcombe Place, Newbury, Berkshire.

The 1901 census records Sarah (45) and her son Francis (10), living in Stockcross, Berkshire. Thomas (46) was recorded working as a Jobbing Gardener, lodging at 76 Ferrier Street, Wandsworth, London.

Possible death: for Thomas Partridge, aged 50, December quarter 1906, Wandsworth.

The 1911 census records Sarah (55), a widow, living at 154 Belmont Road, Reading, Berkshire, with her married son Frederick Stephen (31), a Signal Underlineman, her daughter-in-law, Alice (29), her granddaughter Dorothy Florence (6) and two boarders.

The 1921 census records Sarah (65) living in Chandler’s Lane, All Cannings, Devizes, Wiltshire. with son-in-law, Thomas Hiscock (40), her daughter, Sarah Florence Mary Hiscock (39), her grandchildren, William Hiscock (17), Frederick Hiscock (15) and her mother Mary A. Hardy (85).
