Frederick Charles and his twin brother William Henry were born in Newbury, Berkshire, the sons of Herbert and Harriet St John Page (nee Thompson) who were married on the 19th April 1897, at St Paul, Swindon, Wiltshire.

Frederick Charles died aged 7 months, he was laid to rest in the Newtown Road Cemetery on the 28th January 1911.

Fredrick’s twin brother William Henry died aged 11 months, he was laid to rest in the Newtown Road Cemetery on the 3rd May 1911.

The Family:

Their father Herbert was born in 1867, in Buscot, Berkshire, the son of Alfred Charles and Susan(nah) Page (nee Lewis) who were married on the 6th August 1864, at Stratton St Margaret, Wiltshire.

Their mother Harriet St John was born in 1869 in Swindon, Wiltshire, the daughter of Jane Thompson.

Herbert and Harriet also had the following children:

Reginald Herbert, born c1898, in Wiltshire

Gladys Maud, born 1901, in Wiltshire

Sidney Arthur, born 1904, in Newbury

Lillie Agnes, born 1906, in Newbury

John Edward, born 1908, in Newbury died aged 13 months, in 1909, buried in the NRC on the 24th August)

Alice Maud, born c1912, in Newbury

The 1901 census records Harriet (31) a General Shopkeeper, her son Reginald (3) and her mother Jane Thompson (63), living at 46 North Street, Swindon, Wiltshire (no record found for Herbert)

The 1911 census records Herbert (42), a Carman, Harriet (43), their children, Reginald (13), Gladys (10), Sidney (7), Lily (4), William (1), Harriet’s mother Jane Thompson (71), and three boarders, living at Stargrove Villas, Kingsbridge Road, Newbury, Berkshire.

The 1921 census records Herbet (51), a General Labourer (working for Newbury Corporation), Harriet (51), their daughter, Alice (9), Harriet’s mother Jane Thompson (82), two boarders and a nurse child, living at 2 Albert Road, Newbury.

Herbert Page died aged 59, in 1828. He was buried on the 31st July. (Funeral service held at St Nicolas Church, Newbury. Abode at time of death, 5 Albert Road, Newbury)

Harriet was still living at 5 Albert Road in 1930, with her son Sidney.

Harriet St Jonh Page died aged 66, in 1936, in Essex.
