William Henry Hill

He was the son of William Hill, a waterman, and Mary Ann (née Hunt). He was born in 1858 (4Q) in Gainsborough, Lincolnshire. He grew up with his two younger sisters Anne and Alice in Gainsborough. After his father died in 1869, his mother remarried to William Kenham, a boilermaker from Doncaster, on 26 October 1871 and the family subsequently removed to Newbury. William Henry and his 2 sisters took the name of Kenham. He died at home aged 18 years on 18 September 1877 and he was buried in the Cemetery on 2 October. The burial was conducted by the Rev. Edward Alford, Primitive Methodist Minister of the Stroud Green Chapel. His stepfather was the Chapel Steward. 

The death index and Berkshire Burial Index both state that he died at the age of 18 while the death announcement confirmed that he was 19. 
Although the death announcement in the Newbury Weekly News was in the name of William Kenham, the death index and Berkshire Burial Index were registered in the name of William Henry Hill.
