Thomas was baptised on the 16^thJanuary 1776, in Chilton, Berkshire. (no parents recorded on his baptism record)

The 1841 census records Thomas (65) as an Agricultural Labourer, living in Chilton Village, Berkshire.

In 1851 Thomas (74) was recorded as a widower, living in an Almshouse, in Newbury, Berkshire.

The 1861 census records Thomas (84) as an Almsman, late a Maltster’s Labourer, living in Raymonds New Almshouses, Newbury. Also recorded in the household were two visitors, Mary Grubb (81) and Nancy Parsons (8). (Surname recorded as Puri on ancestry)

Thomas died aged 87, in 1864, he was laid to rest in the Newtown Road Cemetery on the 21^stJanuary.
