ADA WALKER
Ada was born in Greenham Mills in Q3 1876 Newbury 2c 217.
She was the daughter of Charles Benjamin & Amelia (nee Loveday) Walker. They had married on 21 February 1869 & were living in Bermondsey in 1871. He was a Fellmonger & they had a son, Charles, 1.
They had a daughter, Caroline (Ref: 3751), in1872 & shortly after the family moved to Greenham Mills where Charles continued being a Fellmonger. In 1874 they had a daughter, Amelia Louise.
Ada died at Greenham Mills, aged 6 weeks old, from congestion of the lungs.
Q3 1876 Newbury 2c 139. She was buried at NRC on 23 July 1876.
By 1881 Charles & his family had back to 107, Jamaica Road, Bermondsey. He was a Fellmonger employing 22 men. They had had two more children: Emma Alice, 3, & Charles Benjamin, 1. By 1891 Charles had become a Butcher & they now had 2 more children: Frank, 7 & Nellie, 5.
