Frances Marion was born in Newbury, Berkshire, the only child of William Charles and Frances Elizabeth Parr, (nee Newbery), who were married in 1911 (marriage registered in Axminster, Devon)

Frances Marion died aged 1 day, she was laid to rest in the Newtown Road Cemetery on the 15th April

Frances Marion’s parents:

Her father William Charles was born on the 2nd January 1884, in Newbury, Berkshire, the son of William Robert and Emma Parr (nee Orchard) who were married in 1881, in Highworth, Wiltshire.

Her mother Frances Elizabeth was born on the 4th March 1883, in Axminster, Devon, the daughter of Abraham Skinner and Martha Newbery (nee Thomas) who were married in 1872, in Axminster, Devon.

The 1921 census records Willliam Charles (37) as a Furniture Upholsterer, working for Camp Hopson and Co, in Northbrook Street, Newbury. He was living at “Ennerdale” Rockingham Road, Newbury with Frances (38) and a boarder.

The 1939 Register records William as a Master Upholsterer, living at 6 Rockingham Road, Newbury, with Frances.

They continued to live in Rockingham Road, Newbury, until they died.

William died in 1970 and. Frances Elizabeth died on the 2nd September 1972.
