According to the 1901 census record, George was born around 1847 in Corsham, Wiltshire. However, no records have yet been found prior to his marriage to Jane Dell in1896 (Q3 Newbury 2c 493). He is recorded as being an Army Pensioner.
He died in 1902 (Q3 Newbury 2c 144) & was buried on 1 October 1902, aged 59. He had been living at Wakefield Buildings, Stroud Green.
