Henry, his parents, siblings and early life:

Henry Welbelove was baptised on the 10th December 1820, at St John the Baptist, Egham, Surrey, the son of Stephen (a Labourer) and Martha Welbelove. Stephen Wellbelove and Martha Werrell were married on the 19th September 1802 at St Mary, Staines, Surrey.

Stephen and Martha also had the following children:

Frederic 1814

James 1812

Harriet 1817

Robert 1819

Caroline 1823

Samuel 1826

The 1841 census records Henry (20) living in Sand Pits, Egham, Surrey, with his father Stephen (60), a Labourer, his mother Martha (55), his sister Harriott (25) and a lodger. (Surname recorded as Willhelm on ancestry)

Henry’s father Stephen died aged 70 in 1849. His mother Martha died aged 69, the following year. Both deaths were registered in Windsor.

In 1851 Henry Wellbelove (30) was working as an Agricultural Labourer, living in Sand Pits, Egham, Surrey. His sister Harriet (32) and her two illegitimate children, Charlotte (7) and Samuel (4) were living with him.

Henry in later life:

Henry married Eliza Swain on the 11th September 1853 at Virginia Water, Surrey.

(Eliza was baptized on the 13th May 1821, at St John the Baptist, Egham, Surrey, the daughter of Thomas (a Labourer) and Harriet/Harriot Swain (nee Judd) who were married on the 8th November 1812, at St John the Baptist, Egham, Surrey)

Eliza already had a son, Charles, born in 1849 in Stockcross, Berkshire, before she married Henry.

The had a daughter, Eliza, born in Stockcross, in 1857.

The 1861 census records Henry Wellbelove (42) as a Carrier, living in The Green, Stockcross, Speen, Berkshire, with his wife Eliza (40), a Laundress, his step-son Charles Swain (12) and his daughter Eliza (4).

In 1871 Henry (51) was recorded as a General Labourer, he was still living in the village of Stockcross, with Eliza (50), their daughter Eliza (13) and two lodgers (surname recorded as Willbewea on ancestry)

Henry died aged 62 on the 26th September 1880 in the Union Workhouse, he was laid to rest in the Newtown Road Cemetery on the 29th September.
