Jane Mindenhall was born in 1846 in Hendon to Amos and Eliza Mindenhall.  He was an Ag. Lab. and living in Shallbourne Wilts, (Parish of Bagshot), 3 miles SW of Hungerford.

In 1861 she is 14  a servant, with sister Ann, 17,  Martha, 9 and Amos 6 (she is clearly shown as born in Hendon Middlesex whereas the others are all born in Shalbourne)

In 1870 August 10th at the parish church of St Thomas , Portman, Middlesex, Jane Mindenhall, of Full age, a spinster, from Hungerford, Berkshire, (father Amos Mindenhall a Farmer) married a John Crotty, also of full age, a widower, Draper, living at 197, Oxford Street (his father was John Crotty, deceased, a tailor)

John was 12 years older having been born in 1834.

john died 21ST April 1878 and the will of John Crotty of 32 Grosvenor Place Brompton shows that he left under £100 to Jane Crotty

Jane  does not appear in the 1881 census but the situation is confused by another Jane  Mindenhall born in shallbourne within a couple of years of Jane who appears in Hungerford age 32 as a  general servant in the workhouse.

In 1883 4th January in Hungerford a Jane Cratty is shown as marrying a John Alfred Harvey, a bachelor , Ironmonger, whose residence is shown as Hinstock in Shropshire. Her father is shown as Amos Mildenhall a farmer.  His father was John Harbey?, a maltster.  Both are full age. John was born in 1858 in Hinstock Shropshire his parents being John Harvey and Catherine Careless Fenn so he was 12 years younger than Jane. 

Jane died the 15 March 1893 aged 46 and as buried in NRC.   John went back to Shopshire and died a widower in 1939 in Whitechurch


 
She died on 15 March 1893 at 2 Sunnyside, Gloucester Rd, Newbury, Berkshire, England at the age of 45.
 

Buried in plot LN (X) 6 Newtown Rd Cemetery, Newbury.
