In 1891 he is shown at Northbrook St at an Inn possibly the Rose and Thistle with Elizabeth Halliwell born in Hertfordshire Cheshunt an innkeeper (possibly grandmother) . In 1901 he is living at 50 cheap street a widower with his daughters aged 24 and 21 . He died in 1901 aged 58
