Mary Ann was baptised on the 5th April 1833 in Chaddleworth, Berkshire, the daughter of William and Rebecca Streat (nee Jones).

Her mother Rebecca was born c1797, she died aged 40 not long after giving birth to her son William, she was buried on the 29th October 1837 at St Andrew Chaddleworth. Baby William died aged 8weeks, he was buried at St Andrew Chaddleworth on the 20th November 1837.

Her father William was a Bricklayer, he was baptised on the 5th March 1787 in Chaddleworth, Berkshire the son of John and Lydia Streat. In 1851 William (64) was living in Chaddleworth with a new wife, Hannah (60) (no marriage found) and his son John (16). He died aged 68 in 1855 and was buried on the 14th June at St Andrew Chaddleworth (surname spelt Street on NBI).

The 1861 census records Mary (28) as a General Servant, working for a Charles Rogers (37), a Dental Surgeon at the Old Rectory, Newbury.

Mary Ann married Robert Eatwell in 1862 (marriage registered in Newbury). They had two sons, William born in 1862 and Charles born in 1864.

(Robert was baptised on the 26th May 1839 in Aldbourne, Wiltshire, the son of Robert and Elizabeth Eatwell (nee Bowsher) who were married on the 11th December 1823 in Ramsbury, Wiltshire. (Names recorded as Robert Eatall and Elizabeth Bozier). By 1861 Robert was living in Newbury working as a Chairmaker. He later worked as a Cabinet Maker/Upholsterer/ Furniture Dealer).

Mary Ann died aged 31 soon after giving birth to her son Charles, she was laid to rest in the Newtown Road Cemetery on the 6th October 1864.

Robert remarried in 1865, his 2nd wife was Sarah Farmer. They had four sons and four daughters.

The 1871 and 1881 census records record the family living in Cheap Street, Newbury. The 1891 census records them living in Market Street, Newbury.

Sarah died aged 60 on the 17th March 1900, she was laid to rest in the Newtown Road Cemetery with her youngest son Edward (died aged 7 in 1888) on the 21st March.

In 1901 Robert was living in Newmarket Street, Newbury with his children, William John and Marian.

Robert died aged 64 on the 19th December 1903, he was laid to rest in the Newtown Road Cemetery on the 23rd December.
