Jean’s birth was registered in Reading Berkshire in the June quarter 1930. She was the daughter of Kenneth Ernest and Annette Eva Brazier (nee Cox) who were married in 1926 (marriage registered in Kingsclere).

Jean died aged 5 on the 29th May 1935 in the Newbury District Hospital, she was laid to rest in the Newtown Road Cemetery on the 1st June.

Jean’s parents:

Jean’s father Kenneth Ernest and his twin sister Kathleen Lucy were born on the 20th April 1898 the children of Richard and Elizabeth Mary Brazier (nee Holloway) who were married on the 20th July 1892 at St Nicolas Church Newbury.

Her mother Annette Eva was born on the 23rd May 1898 in Kingsclere the daughter of George William and Florence Maud Mary Cox (nee Cox) who were married on the 1st May 1881 in St George, Hanover Square, Middlesex.

During the 1st World War Kenneth served as a Wireless Operator in the Royal Engineers. On his Board of Service Paper in 1916 he was recorded as a Post Office Clerk.

In 1939 Jean’s parents were recorded living at 5 Queen’s Road, Newbury. Ernest was recorded as a Post Office Overseer.

They continued to live in Queen’s Road until at least 1963. Later they moved to 14 St Mary’s Park, Ottery St Mary, Devon.

Kenneth died on the 13th November 1985 in Devon

Annette died in Devon in 1994
