JOHN EDWARD DUCKETT

In loving and affectionate memory of Pte. Walter George Duckett, Welsh Regiment, eldest son of George Duckett, 64 Rosebery Avenue, Manor Park, London, killed in action at Passchandale, November 8th, 1917; also of Pte. John Edward Duckett, second son of G. Duckett, 8th Batt., Seaforth Highlanders, killed in action at Arras on April 23rd, 1917.

No hate was theirs,

no thirst for fame

When forth to death by honour sent;

Life beckoned sweet,

The great call came

They knew their duty and they went.
