She was born c. 1802 in Preston on Wye, Herefordshire. Research to date has unearthed that her maiden name could have been Waith(e)and that she was baptised on 23 May 1802 in Preston on Wye, her parents being John and Magdalene Waith. Independent verification is required.
In 1851, a widow, she was the housekeeper to widower George Woolf, an Accountant and Law Clerk, and his son Joseph at 106 Shoe Lane, St. Brides, London. He died in the same year and by the 1861 census she has moved to Newbury and become the housekeeper to widower Richard Osmond, a retired farmer aged 85 from Hungerford, at No.6 Southampton Terrace, Newbury. Richard Osmond died on 20 September 1861 and later she became the housekeeper to a Mr. Church, possibly at the same address. She died on 3 September 1862 in her 60th year and she was buried on 6 September 1862.
