Eliza Webb

1834-1865

 

Eliza Cadman was born on the 11th May 1834 in Wales she was baptised on the 25th June 1834 in Abersychan Monmouthshire Wales and was the daughter of James and Eliza Cadman (nee Arblaster) who were married on the 27th June 1833 in Trevethin Monmouthshire.  James was born c1805 in Walsall Staffordshire he died aged 75 in 1881 in Wales. Eliza was born c1811 in Peneload Monmouthshire she died aged 57 in 1869 in Wales.

Eliza and James also had the following children:

Annie c1839 Abersychan Monmouthshire

Thomas c1843 Pentewan Monmouthshire

Fanny c1851 Tondu Glamorganshire

Jessie 1852 Tondu Glamorganshire

 

In 1841 James (35), Agent, Eliza (29), Eliza (8) and Annie (2), were living in Trevethin (near Pontypool) Monmouthshire.

By 1851 James (45), was working as a manager of an Iron Works inTondu and was living with his wife Eliza (39) and their children, Eliza (16), Annie (11), Thomas (7) and Fanny (4 months), in Tondu Llangynwyd Glamorgan

The 1861 census records James (55), Coal Proprietor, Eliza (49), Eliza (2), Annie (21), Thomas (17) and Fanny (10), living in Coity Glamorgamshire.

Bride: Eliza Cadman, full age, Spinster, Abode: Coity

Fathers: James Cadman, occupation: Engineer and Thomas Webb, occupation: Grocer

Eliza gave birth to a daughter, Florence Lizzie in 1865 (birth registered in the December quarter in Newbury), sadly Eliza died aged 31, on the 3rd December she was laid to rest in the Newtown Road Cemetery on the 8th December 1865.

Eliza’s daughter Florence Lizzie died in Bridgend Wales the following month her body was brought back to Newbury she was laid to rest in the Newtown Road Cemetery on the 19th January 1866.

Charles went on to marry Mary Eliza Moore in 1867 and died aged 84 in 1910 in Newbury he was buried in the Newtown Road Cemetery on the 29th March.
