John Wristbridge

1802-1872

John was born on the 7^th February 1802 in Hampshire he was baptised on the 7^th March in Whitchurch Hampshire the son of William and Jane Wristbridge (nee Lovell) who were married in Basingstoke in 1799.

John’s siblings were:

John was a Tea Dealer, he married Fanny Hutchins (born in 1810 Ludgershall Wiltshire) in 1843 in Whitchurch.

Both the 1851 and 1861 census records record John and Fanny living in Shaw Road Newbury.

Fanny died aged 52 on the 6^th October 1862 she was laid to rest in the Newtown Road Cemetery on the 9^th October.

John remarried in 1863 his 2^nd wife was Elizabeth Granger (born 1805 in Newbury).

In the 1871 census John and Elizabeth were recorded living at 18 Smith’s Crescent Shaw Road Newbury and John was recorded as a Retired Tea Dealer.

John died aged 70 on the 21^st February 1872 he was laid to rest in the Newtown Road Cemetery on the 26^th February.

Elizabeth died aged 71 on the 1^st January 1877 she was laid to rest in the Newtown Road Cemetery on the 8^th January.
