Ann Elliott

c1783-1861

 

Ann was born in Mapledurham Oxfordshire. She married (as Ann Trendall) Charles Elliott on the 19th September 1810 at St Mary Reading Berkshire. Charles was a Bricklayer he was born c1772 in Newbury.

The 1815 census of Newbury records Ann (27) living in Northcroft Lane Newbury with Charles (30) and their children Henry (4), Charles (2) and Elizabeth (infant).

The 1841 census records Charles (65), Ann (55) and their sons Charles (28) and Alfred (21) living in Northbrook Street Newbury.

Charles (79), a Pauper/Bricklayer and Ann (55), a School Mistress were still living in Northbrook Street in 1851

Ann was widowed in 1856 Charles died aged 84 he was laid to rest in the Newtown Road Cemetery on the 2nd May

In 1861 Ann was lodging with a Thomas and Harriet Bennett in the Rose and Thistle Yard Newbury, she died aged 78 in 1861 and was laid to rest in the Newtown Road Cemetery on the 18th September.
